Latah Community Description

If Latah could muster some market activity, it would be a hell of a town. Sadly, I guess one could say the same thing in regards to just about any farm town that's slowly suffocating. Such is Latah.

Nevertheless, there are still a few communities within Spokane County that are throw-backs to a different, seemingly more simple time. Latah is one of them. Located in the rolling fields of southern Spokane County, Latah is a small farming community that has remained nearly unchanged for decades upon decades. Businesses come and go. Families come and go. But that historic old main street and historic homes around it remain largely unchanged. It’s only drawback is the long commute to Spokane.

Latah and Waverly are similar in many ways but Latah wins in the ranking game because it's urban identity remains generally intact.
